South Africa – February-March 2011

South Africa, 9th-19th March 2011

A very hectic but succesful trip to South Africa, checking on the offered land in Freestate for the Wild Cats World project, and paying visits to people and projects in Bloemfontein, Kimberley, Johannesburg, Capetown, having interaction with lots of wild cats, cheetahs, lions, tigers, caracals, etc. We paid visits to a.o. Cheetah Experience, Ann van Dyck Cheetah Centre De Wildt and Cheetah Outreach. A collection of photos will follow soon on this website.

Masai Mara, Kenya 28th February-8th March 2011

The Wild Cats Photosafari 2011 that took place end of February, first week of March, was a huge success again. Many exceptional sightings of leopards, cheetahs and lions, but also the great wildlife variety of the Mara showed itself the best way again. Take a look at a selection of the photos.

Soon you can read here the story of three exceptional catfamilies we followed on our trip, like in an episode of Big Cat Diary: – Leopard mother Olive and her cubs – The King of the Mara, lion Notch, and his famous family – The three cheetah brothers, “Honey’s Boys”.
