The last days of 2024… Happy Christmas

This year, 2024, overall was a very good year for Wild Cats World.

As always people do give some complications – on every level – but we managed again to live through this.

Our wonderful leopard ambassadors, Feline & Felix, with who we started the foundation/NPC, had their 13th Birthday on 7 November and with them we celebrate the Birthday of our sanctuary. Our beloved sacred Birman cat Queeny reached the age of 22 this year and we were very sad having lost our dear Zamba aged 17 at the start of this year, due to kidney failure. Bless them all!

The most amazing moment, of course was for our dear cheetah male Sunny, to become a daddy to 4 gorgeous sons.

We are looking forward to another year dedicated with all we have to the Wild Cats World sanctuary, and wish you all a Happy Christmas and all the best for 2025.

Wild Cats vs abuse, trade, hunting and exploitation

Yes THIS (see photo!) is exactly what we think about all the animal abuse… exploitation, trade, bone and Hunting ‘industry’ in South Africa.


Thanks to the best Leopard ambassadors we have been working for most of 2019 on a huge scale Investigation as for the mentioned before. Name and shame and revealing time soon…

It is scary that everybody somehow and in some way is involved in this business. Foundations, welfare organisations, conservation… huge laugh, in fact the biggest threat to Wildlife as it appears now. Learnt so much past time… hard to describe. Yes the book will be there in the end too!

Hurting us deeply like a deep cut from a knife
To destroy this so-called sanctuary they don’t need a helping hand
As clearly animal care and conservation is what they still don’t understand
We scattered your ashes at our project in South Africa
Your spirit will guard over the caracals Leo & Lea

Sunny – cheetah ambassador

Sunny is a young male cheetah who arrived at Wild Cats World in the summer of 2014 as one of our ambassadors for his species.

Like the other two cheetah ambassadors at the Spotted Cats Conservation Project, Speedy & Spiky, Sunny is also semi-wild, or motherraised. The Wild Cats World cheetahs will live in huge camps far from the other WCW projects, to give the cheetahs a relaxed and stress-free life, far from the tourist-zone.
